Died within a year

Currently sweating it out and trying to figure out how to get this hefty 'ornament' out of the wall and into the trash. Stay away.If you asked me how i liked this a/c a few weeks ago (shy of it's 1 year anniversary in my home), i WOULD have had glowing reviews. Promptly within a year, the a/c stopped blowing cold air, and instead turned into an oversized wall-embedded fan, blowing room temp air into the room.Luckily i had a Service agreement (though somewhat suspiciously, Frigidaire kept on trying to get me to upgrade my warranty with them, til the last day), so a tech was to come to fix it. Turns out, it's not worth the trouble that this unit causes - the repair company declined to service it and my money was refunded.There was a time when you bought an a/c that lasted through the summers. This one made it through half of last summer, and called it quits before summer even began this year. Total pain to have it removed and to find a replacement during a heatwave. Not recommended. Stick to a GE or Friedrich.

Cold And Quiet

Ordered wall sleeve with unit, slides in and rests on foam strips, unit has 2 intakes on the back and uses included rear grill , quiet and cold, good value
