Great Product

Purchase this unit last spring. Cools the west side of my house very well. It actually has allot more power then we need as our house is well insulated and our lot is shady. It runs quite and is easy to use. We love the remote and normally turn unit off when we leave for work. I used the provided drain hose so no need to manually drain the unit. This unit replaced window units because I was tired of removing them every winter. I love this product and panning on buying one for the east side of our 2700 sf Ranch House.

Can not cool a room 10x20 in orlando fl

I bought this unit to cool a room while I found a replacement unit for the central a/c. I tried the unit at settings of 75. F. The unit lowest achieved temperature was 78 during the night with 4 people in the room. During the day, the lowest temperature achieved was 83f with 96f outside. The room has two windows with blinds and curtains one used for the exhaust port of the unit. There are also two doors covered with conforters to keep the cool air inside. Two fans and a ceiling fan where running at all time to circulate the air.I left the unit running day and night for 5 days. With no better results than 81f during late afternoon, 78f at night early in the morning (3am) and 83 during midday sun. These results are in a insulated house built in 2001 in Orlando fl. The unit was used in july during the hottest days of the month.I suspect the unit could cool a very small room, but not a 500 sq ft room. I works great as a dehumidifier with the external hose since it can fill a pint of water within a couple of hours. The ac work well as a supplementary unit in areas where the existing ac is no performing well.I am returning the unit since it cannot cool my garage, my posterior use for the unit. The portable a/c made my despair nights somewhat better but by no means comfortable.

I got this because our window unit broke. Wish we had switched a long time ago. These cause no damage to my window and they are extremely powerful. BEST BUY EVER!
