The best vacuum ever built!

I did not select this vacuum because it is affordable. However, that is a bonus. I was willing to pay whatever the going rate is to find a vacuum with powerful suction, maneuverability, but which weighed little. This only weighs 16 pounds. I have tendinitis in my elbow, and vacuuming exacerbates it, especially on stairs. In fact, I am almost certain that the heavy, unwieldy and exasperating Kenmore I owned previously was the cause of my elbow pain. The Shark Lift Away is a breeze to use, and causes me no pain, even on the stairs. No tension in my elbow as it floats across miles of carpet. It has found and banished so much more dust and debris than my previous vacuum could extract. When I vacuum with the Shark, the room smells fresh and clean even though I never use any freshening powders. I absolutely love the honest-to-goodness clean the Shark imparts; a clean that doesn't need the cover of a smell to freshen a room. I live in the desert and have a fluffy cat, so a lot of dust and hair settles invisibly. It works fantastic on my kitchen floors, too. It has a different setting for wood or tile floors, and instead of blowing debris forward, it just sucks it in quickly and effortlessly. It gets in corners really well. The handle and movement does more than go forward and backward easily, but swivels right and left as well. There is no bag to run out of, no belt to break and change. That means no hassles. It runs as though it has propulsion so it is feather light to use. We have all used vacuum cleaners with on-board attachments that fall off while you are vacuuming. The attachments are separate for the Shark which is a very thoughtful touch. My husband just tried it out for the first time to clean up after a hair cut and he is completely surprised and raving about how amazing it is. He tried it out in other places just to marvel at what a great job it does and how pleasant it is to use. For me it is a relief as besides all of the benefits mentioned, vacuuming is no longer a painful chore. If you are arthritic or have other kinds of arm or hand pain, this vacuum will be a Godsend for you. If not, no matter what you have used in the past, you will have to admit there has never been a better vacuum. It is without a doubt the best vacuum ever built!Update: I now have two of these vacuums, one in a carpeted home, and one in a home with wood floors. I neglected to mention that we have a very fluffy cat that produces a huge amount of cat hair, and the Shark takes care of it all beautifully. I have begun to use the brush attachment weekly to remove pet hair from furniture and it does an amazing job, all without ever feeling heavy and awkward in the process, because the attachments and hose swivel to make it easy to vacuum at any angle.

BEST FOR HARD FLOORS

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THIS VAC AFTER THREE OTHERS FINALLY ONE THAT WORKS!!! AND ITS ABSOLUTLY THE BEST ON HARD FLOORS!! THE HARD FLOOR ATTACHMENT GOES ON QUICK AND HAS NO BEATER BAR SO IT DOSEN'T THROW CHUNKS OF STUFF OUT THE BACK AND ONTO YOUR FEET!! THE CARPET ATTACHMENT IS AWESOME ALSO!! WAIT TILL YOU SEE WHAT YOUR OTHER VACS HAVE BEEN MISSING, YUCK! AND ITS SUPER LIGHT AND EMPTYING IS A BREEZE!! AND MORE SUCTION THAN YOU WOULD HAVE THOUT POSSIBLE. LIKEA DYSON BUT MUCH CHEAPER!!!

Great Vacuum for very little Money

I live in a fairly large 2 story Home. I have 3 German made Miele Vacuums that are great , however they are Tank (Canister) style Machines. I have a Spinal injury so using a Tank style Vacuum is somewhat hard for me. I also own a Dyson Upright and it is a pretty good Machine. The Dyson cost about $400-USDAnyway I was looking for a very light weight Bagless Vacuum. I looked at a Hoover and this Shark. I am impressed with how clean my Carpet looks after a nice vacuuming. This Vacuum in my opinion did a far better job than my Dyson that cost a fortune.I am also impressed with the 5 year Warranty that comes with this well built Vacuum.
