expected a little better
By Nici
Surprisingly bad with ice. Instructions say not to use ice larger than one inch. However, even with the storebought cylinders, you have to put in one or two cubes at a time. It's very loud. I'm hoping that the durability will outweigh these negative qualities. Omega makes an exceptional quality juicier, so we'll see.

It's a blender. It's powerful. It works very well.
By Tyler Carpenter
This is a solid choice in the "medium-expensive" area of blenders -- above the $40-60 ones that don't work very well and the $400-600 ones that are professional-level. There are only 2 speeds, and the slower speed is still too high for some uses like grating or grinding. The bottom section (where the blender motor connects with the blade unit) is made of a hard rubber, and seems to fray with heavy (daily) use (leaving tiny black-rubber dust on the inside of base unit), and while I have not seen any performance degradation, I suspect that this unit may only last a few years before that part needs replacing. The stainless steel container is very nice when needing to blend multiple items separately, and well worth the extra $30 or so. The main container is made of plastic (not glass), but it doesn't seem to scratch easily. All container parts come apart wash easily. The basic unit (motor + container) is exactly what I would expect from a blender in the $100-150 range, and the stainless steel container makes for a nice addition if you need 2 containers. In fact, I use (and I'd prefer to have) only the stainless steel container and never use the larger plastic one, but that's not an option.

Not that great
By Melinda Constantino
First off, the metal container had to be the most poorly made item I have seen in a while. Not only did it break once.... I called to have it replaced ( omega was great), the first time I used the second one it broke too. The pieces are not fully welded together so when removing the container from the blender they separate.... Spilling the contents all over my kitchen! Would not recommend based on quality issues.
