Dumb interface

I bought this because it matches a built in oven. It works fine, just like any decent microwave. Like most people, I just use he basic power settings, not the programs that the manufacturers add for frozen pizzas and so on. However I have to make the observation that if you *wanted* to use a specialty feature, you must keep the instruction book nearby. Forever. Instead of simply saying "frozen entree", "fish", etc. the way the excellent Panasonic units do, this dopey thing expects you to remember what "food type 3" or "food type 5" is, and across different functions to boot. I give it 3 stars because of this brain dead interface, and because it is expensive.

Good microwave that looks great

Mounted easily and works as expected. We've owned this model for over a month now and hopefully it works for many years. We got the extended warranty since the reviews for Whirlpool/Kitchenaid microwave(s) on amazon have been pretty negative even though CR doesn't seem to agree with that.So far it cooks evenly, quickly but doesn't have the convection function. Fan is loud on high, but quieter than our 15 year old Maytag microwave. The fan on low it's very pleasant and pulls the moisture out well enough. I did vent this unit out the house which seems to help too.
