chair boost platform

Little Boost PlatformI bought this for my Mother who is 89 years old. She had broken her hip and enjoys her Lazy boy but it was very hard to get out of it. The platform arrived and I was able to set it up and move the recliner on to it. She is now able to move from the recliner to her wheelchair with better ease and safety.

Worth the money and works great.
By Andy
I bought this for under my husband's lift chair. He is a tall man, 6 ' 4", and from floor to the top of the seat on his chair was around 23". We added some memory foam wrapped in a blanket and it still was not quite enough. This platform did the trick and he loves being able to get up and out of his chair easily and safely and by himself. The lift chair does so much more and that is why we needed it. He actually sleeps in it, but he would rather not use the lift feature unless he has too. He feels more confident when he gets out of the chair on his own, and believe me, at this point, the more independence he feels he has, the better he feels emotionally and physically. Before I ordered it, I talked to the man who invented it, a very patient man named Gary. He was so great about giving measurements. I told him that I hope to see him on Shark Tank one of these days. Most medical facilities do not realize the importance of having the right height equipment for tall people, especially if they are in a weakened state. I am always adjusting commodes and shower chairs for him at hospitals because the medical profession doesn't give it a thought. They are all about lowering the bed so someone doesn't fall out, but my husband would actually fall trying to get up if he had to because of his lack of upper body strength. This platform adds three inches to the bottom of his chair, and I was able to install it myself. It took a little muscle but if you don't think you can do it alone, two people could definitely do it in less than 5 minutes. There are no tools needed, just get the chair on the platform and you are done. I just did it one corner at a time. About the price, to me it was worth it. My husband has so many health issues that get him down. This was a small price to pay to make him feel better about his abilities. I have watched him struggle to get out of a chair, and I sometimes have to help him so this Little Boost helps me too.

Does exactly what I needed it to......
By R. Cyr
I am disabled and need a lift chair, so when it became difficult for me to get out of my lift chair, I noticed that I needed more height to be able to stand and hold on to my walker. Did a lot of research for a "furniture riser", or similar product that would satisfy my need. I found the "little boost platform" and although it seemed a little "pricey" I decided that this is what I needed. This does exactly what I needed it to, to give my lift chair more height so that now it is really easy, with no problems, to get out of my chair. Works well with a lift chair, and I especially appreciate that the little boost platform has raised edges so that the chair stays on the platform. Received it when indicated by Amazon. I really recommend this for those of us who have difficulty getting out of chairs.
