Worth about half what you pay

We've had this unit for about 6 months now, and we're very disappointed. It seems mechanically and electronically sound, but it has one major problem - it doesn't dry the clothes worth a darn! Our 250.00 dryer did a far better job of drying clothes faster, and we're sorry to have replaced it. We only did so to get a matched, stackable set when we replaced the washer with a front loader. It has nice features, but we don't have much use for most of them. Even set on the highest settings, and running for an hour and 15 minutes, and not being too heavily loaded, the clothes are damp. I've checked the specs on the exhaust, and we're well within the distance and exhaust pipe size, etc. The simple fact is, the most important job, drying the clothes, is just something it handles poorly. So, even if it is running on a more efficient basis, you have to dry the clothes so much longer, that it isn't saving either electricity or money. It sure isn't saving you any time!Unless you have need of the special steam cycle, or you find playing with all the special combinations of sensors and times is fun, I'd highly recommend purchasing a simpler dryer for about 1/3 the price that actually gives you dry clothes in a single cycle.
