5I have had this dryer for 4 years love it.
    By kindred spirit
Going on my 4th year with this dryer. It is the best. I love the energy preferred setting. It can tell just how dry to get them and save you some money. It is not loud, just standard I would say. You can get a king size comforter in it with no problem and it gets dry.It is nice looking and has 3 heat settings and a dryness setting, and a timed setting. The buzzer can be turned off or on it is LOUD.I have never regretted my choice of this HUGE capacity dryer. Highly recommend, Have had Maytag products for years and they last and last. Now Maytag and Whirlpool and Amana, Kitchen Aid have all merged, so they are all the same just different names.

4Good dryer with a couple of obvious design flaws
    By M. Greene
I chose this dryer because of its large capacity. My sheets and blankets get dry without a problem. So it meets its key design goal - it dries large loads quickly. The dryer is quiet enough when it operates - not near silent but for me, that's fine. If you want near silent, you'll have to pay a lot more. The noise is a smooth white background hum a fan would make and you can talk on the phone standing next to the dryer. The buzzer on the other hand...the engineer that chose this buzzer is either deaf or is completely clueless. The buzzer would be appropriate on a noisy factory floor but it's way out of place in a house. It's both extremely loud and grating. Can't just knock the engineer - his/her manager was asleep at the switch when this buzzer got added to the build list. You are, however, given a Hobson's choice of turning off the buzzer altogether and checking on your dryer from time to time or putting up with the buzzer telling you your clothes are dry. I've chosen to live without the buzzer - it's that bad.The other flaw in the dryer that should not have left the design phase is the lint filter placement. As you pull the filter out over the top of the dryer, dust falls out onto the dryer. Every single time - no exceptions. The workaround is to have a pair of clean rags to wipe up the dust next to the dryer and to add the used rag to your next load. Again, the design indicates someone wasn't paying attention to detail.Taken together, the two flaws cost Maytag a star. On the plus side, the huge capacity allows normal sized loads to freely tumble so they dry much faster than in a smaller dryer. For me, that's a win.

    5Great Dryer!
    By Judy Carlton
Love the dryer! I have only had it about a week, but I do a lot of laundry and am completely satisfied with this dryer. The clothes come out dry and they are less wrinkled than my old front load dryer. More Expensive is not always better....my last dryer cost much more and the performance was much less!
