No on/off switch - fan runs until spring timer unwinds by itself

No switch to turn spring-loaded timer off - cannot be freely turned. Must wait for timer to "wind out" its time, before fan will stop. Thermostat can be off but fan will still run.It's not like I don't do the research. I called Cadco home office back east and a "technician" told me you can shut off the timer any time you want. He lied (or made a mistake.)These are special order items in bricks and mortar equipment stores in my area. They have them in catalogs, but nobody stocks one to look at. If you order one, and don't like it, it is not returnable. You are stuck with it. - Thank you, Amazon. I almost did that.An Italian company makes it, but does not say anything about design, manufacture or assembly country of origin, not of the whole item, or any part.It is noisy, but I am not familiar with other countertop convection ovens. Maybe they are all that way (or worse.)The shelf gratings inside tilt herrendously when slid out even just a little, and therefore useless for holding anything extended out of the oven, which would slide off down to the floor from the tilt, if not held by someone.The timer beeper is quite an annoying and beeps for much too long a duration of time (cannot stop it - there is no kill switch) which makes you feel like maybe idiots designed it.Otherwise, I gave it an extra star for the smooth, flat stainless inside - looks easy to clean. The rack tracks are easily removed, and all you have is a smooth stainless surface. Wish they were all like that.As soon as I got it, I plugged it in, put the feet on, turned it on for a minute or two (with nothing in it, still on the kitchen floor) discovered these discrepancies, realized this was an overhyped, overpriced, obsolete white elephant.As soon as it cooled off, I carefully removed the feet, and proceeded to repack it and returned item on Amazon's no-nonsense return policy.BTW, the manual and documentation were vague and useless (you had to figure out how bad the controls were by yourself, without breaking it) although there were a lots of obsolete recipes.and BTW, the packaging was atrocious - the corrugated cardboard box was not bound with any packaging tape, it was only bound with huge staples, most of which were loose and falling off. The box was falling apart and it was heavy and bulky. I felt bad for our UPS guy. I used quite a bit of packaging tape to bind it up tightly and send it back.

Great Counter Top Oven

Have had this oven for about 1 year - used 5 nights a week in my kitchen to prepare appetizers with a baked entree or two thrown in at times when busy.Operates perfectly. Cooks fast. Cleans easily.Very pleased.We often prepare pans of cupcakes and cookies - they come out perfectly. Better that my larger ovens.

I would like to try it out, however...

There was supposed to be a sheet pan included so I have not been able to use the oven. Amazon has done nothing to remedy the problem either.
