Good blender questionable customer service

I purchased this in March 2011. The bottom bushing literally crumbled on me, not stripped but broke into three pieces, an obvious manufacturer's defect, which is warranted. However they would not be satisfied with a few pictures and proof of purchase, like so many manufacturers are going to. No, I am going to have to ship them at my expense to Connecticut because they don't have a warranty center within 150 miles. Then wait the week for it to get there then however long they decide to take before replacing it and then a week back. This means I am looking at, most likely at least three weeks without a blender.So although I have been, to this point, mostly satisfied with the overall unit, I would not recommend it to others that really depend on the blender. Like me I am not able to be without one in the heat and summer for three weeks I am going to have to go purchase another blender or carafe so I can have a spare. That is not good customer service. When this carafe is $100. I am better off going and purchasing a new Ninja blender as a side unit.

do yourself a favor ... get a vitamix

I bought this blender because my previous blender is the old waring blender and it has worked nonstop for years like a champ. Having changed my diet and becoming a raw food enthusiast/ vegan due to health reasons, I now depend on my blender and use it several times a day. I decided to upgrade to a high power blender. I thought I couldn't go wrong with this blender, having great experiences with my old one. It appeared to be comparable with Blendtec and Vita mix and a lot cheaper!!! Don't be fooled.This blender completely stopped working after 11 months. The unit turns on but, nothing happens.... and customer service is non existent. I now have a $300 plus blender that doesn't work and have purchased a reconditioned vita mix for $397 and I got free shipping AWESOME!!!!Comes with new tamper, 64 oz container and 30 day risk free full refund plus they pay for return shipping if your not satisfied and their unmatched 7 yr. FULL warranty. Do yourself a favor if your thinking of buying a high powered blender..... check out the vita mix before you buy.Blendtec also has reconditioned units.

Watch Video Here: /review/R3TWY4BXY4B5ZM I have this blender (MX 1050) with the noise-dampering cover for almost 2 years so far and I can't say anything negative about it. I use it to make all kinds of fruit smoothies. Before this blender, I had a cheap Sunbeam blender from K-Mart that did not blended ice cubes. This Waring MX blender takes seconds to process almost full pitcher filled with fruits, juice and ice cubes. You can see it in the video that it took about 13 seconds to make over 46-ounces of smoothie (pineapple rings with heavy syrup, mango and ice cubes). The blender also looks very stylish and controls are straight forward. To clean the pitcher and the lid, you just rinse it with water, fill-in a splash of dish washing liquid into the pitcher, fill-in 20 or so ounces of water, put back the lid and blend it for 4 seconds. Rinse out the blended dish liquid, rinse the pitcher and fill it back with 20 ounces of water and blend it for 4 more seconds and its done. May sound complicated but it is very quickly and easy. The optional noise-dampering cover dose not cancel out the noise but it dose make less noise than the blender without it. I make smoothies at 3AM sometimes so I like it.
