Forget R.O. Filters

Easy to install, excellent filtering and no loss of pressure after a few quarts. We previously had a Whirlpool R.O. system from Lowes and before that one from Sears. We had them for years and they both had problems. Every few months we had to replace something and not just the filters. Not fun to take apart, lots of hoses, etc. The Everpure system has no tank and only two lines, one in and one out. I have tested the water and it is actually cleaner than the old R.O. system.Another huge advantage is the lack of pressurized tank. This system works with the water pressure you have in your cold water line. If you use the water to cook or draw water for two large dogs, as we do, it was frustrating to draw a few quarts and have the pressure drop to a trickle until the tank could be replenished. Everpure always has the same flow. In addition, this system doesn't waste water trying to make clean water as the R.O. system did.We have had the Everpure for several months now and we would recommend it highly. It is everything I had hoped for.

We have this hooked up to a drinking water faucet and the icemaker in our refrigerator. Its water tastes very good, and I am very happy with it.

I purchased this system from Amazon, box said it was shipped from Pentair Filtration Solutions. I researched water filtration systems and decided to purchase this system because it is said to remove "oxidized iron, manganese and sulfides", that are plentiful in my well water (I live in central Florida). Received this system a week after it was ordered and it was the original box this system is sold in, not an assortment of parts that can be assembled to form this system, an option that seems to be available from a few other vendors who sell this system for the same cost or even more. Installation was super easy and no leaks at all. On first day, water is tasting like the RO water I used to buy in Walmart up to today. The test of time is the real test for a drinking water system. This filter set is supposed to last a year or 1000 gallons. In my case the year will come first. My well water is wretched and has the potential to stress any filtration system. I will come back to add to this review when it is time to replace the filter set, as soon or late this may be.
