The MERV 11 Plus Carbon air filter is a convenient pleated air conditioner furnace filter that has been impregnated with activated carbon and will help to eliminate unwanted pet and home odors as well as reduce the dust in your home or office. with each pass through the pleated filter, the air in your living environment improves. Our high efficiency activated carbon filter will absorb hold odors from smoke, pets, garbage, bathrooms, litter boxes and cooking in the millions of microscopic carbon pores. Odorous gases and vapors (VOC) are attracted to and held by the activated carbon material. The MERV 11 electrostatic filters help trap airborne particles to protect your family from pollen, household dust, mold spores, and dust mites. The Nordic Pure anti-microbial media will not permit the growth of bacteria or mold, therefore, making your breathing environment healthier. The Nordic Pure allergen reduction pleated air filter has a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value(MERV) of 11 which means that it will collect more than 85-Percent of 3.0-10.0 microns of contaminants and up to 80-Percent of particles 1.0-3.0 microns. The MERV 11 pleated air filter is comparable to MPR rating of 1000. Nordic Pure air filters have an actual size that is a fraction of an-Inch smaller than the nominal size. with the 4” and 5” air filters there is a wide variance between the nominal size and actual size. Almost ALL filters have a different actual size than the nominal size printed on the filter so it is best if you measure your filter for the EXACT size and compare it to our "Actual Size. This is why we ask you to measure your filter so you aren't surprised if the filter doesn't fit! Our MERV 11 four or five-Inch air filter should be changed at least every 6 months depending on your environment. Changing your air filter at the recommended time will help maintain a healthy environment as well as keeping your air conditioning and heating systems running efficiently.

Working great and fit perfectly

Not much to say here... after all these are just furnace air filters but, the item is exactly as advertised and fits perfectly.

Cheap Filter - Plain and Simple you get what you pay for!

The filter is cheaply made as compared to the "Healthy Climate" (brand) filter which has wire mesh to keep the pleats in shape while the Nordic has no mesh! With that, I am not an expert on filter material so I can only HOPE it does meet MERV 11 specifications. The filter fits fine and is about 1/8" longer and 1/8" taller then the "Healthy Climate" filter but to me that just makes a tad better seal which is a good thing.I would never pay more then the $26 a piece for these and in fact, that price is pushing it and when these 4 filters are used up, I will try another brand if they ( I suspect) do not hold up or filter well.

Unbeknownst to me, "25x20x5" does not truly mean that size for any of these filters and furnaces. My furnace needs 19 3/4 so I returned them and bought the right size.
