Product Description
The Whynter WC-212BD dual temperature wine cooler, which operates on a thermoelectric system, lets you store and serve your favorite wines from two separate temperature zones. It features two sleek black dotted smoked-glass doors which ensure that when one zone is accessed, the temperature of the other zone is left undisturbed. The light obscuring tint and dotted pattern of the glass doors provides added protection from UV rays that may also affect the consistency of a wine. Many wine coolers use a compressor to provide the cooling function, which generates vibrations that can easily disrupt the delicate sediments in fine wine. With the thermoelectric system, your wine is kept at the appropriate temperature without detrimental vibrations. product arrived damaged

Unfortunately, as soon as I took it out of the box, I noticed that one of the rear vents was damaged. It looked as if someone took a hammer to it!! The box itself is not damaged, nor is the styrofoam that surrounded the product in the box. This means, it was damaged before they ever shipped it! How in the world do they not see the entire side having dents...and I mean...really noticeable dents... BEFORE they send it to the buyer??!! I requested a replacement and/or refund to cover the repair costs so let's see how their customer service is. Hopefully they get it right this time. I was so excited for it. Now it has just become a hassle to deal with.... A couple statements regarding the product itself...the frame is made of a rather light metal...you can literally press the vent itself with your finger and reshape the inlets. The drawers are a bit narrow. I can only fit 2 bottles on 3 of the 5 shelves in the red-wine section of the cooler. The unit itself looks nice though. It fits well in the apartment, and has a nice contemporary look to it.
