Product Description

With its contemporary design and easy-to-use temperature selection dial, this user-friendly rotary iron features a 34 1/2"-wide roller that presses large table and bed linens and garments to a crisp professional finish just like an old-fashioned laundry mangle. In less than four minutes, the machine can smoothly iron a tablecloth, a duvet cover or a stack of napkins, so it's an indispensable timesaver if you're a frequent entertainer. Operated by an easy-to-use foot pedal, it allows you to sit comfortably as you guide items through the top roller and heating plate; pressed laundry folds neatly onto a shelf underneath. A swing-out bar provides additional space to hang finished items. The iron's open-end design easily accommodates shirts and extra-wide linens. Adjust the roller speed to suit the type of laundry being pressed or your preferred working rate. Other features include three temperature settings, a finger guard and an emergency release button.

5Miele Rotary Iron Assessment
By B. B. Fischer
I have had this rotary iron for two months and absolutely adore it. Will admit that I like to iron and coveted this ironing machine for several years before making the substantial financial investment. I also have an Ironite Mangle that I purchased used about five years ago and although I still love the Ironite, the Miele is a major mechanical leap forward. What I love best about the Miele is the foot press that automatically controls the ironing plate. Also like the fact that the iron has three heat settings and actually gets hot enough to quickly iron my Italian cotton sheets. I love to sleep on ironed sheets and pillowcases and I can iron a King size sheet with the Miele in about four minutes. For optimal results you really need to dampen the cotton sheets prior to ironing - which I accomplish by spraying the sheets with scented linen water and seasoning in a plastic bag for about 15 minutes before ironing. The linen water (Vodka, Lavender & Peppermint essential oil mixed with water)really provides an aroma therapy effect. So if you have nice linens and want to keep them in excellent condition, the Miele is a must.

3Not bad, but the 1955 Ironrite still does a better job
By Sheryl McCallister
My grandmother purchased an Ironrite Mangle in 1955, and it's been the most coveted part of her inheritance to my mother (her daughter-in-law.) A friend of mine has also coveted my mother's Ironrite--and the perfectly pressed cotton shirts that it produces.Recently, my friend proudly announced that she had a "NEW" Ironrite, and invited me over for a test drive. The Miele doesn't do a bad job at all; in fact, if I'd never seen an ironing machine before, I'd have been quite impressed.Having learned to use the Ironrite when I was 11, though, made me aware that it's not nearly as intuitive a machine; and as far as durability is concerned....no.My TOP recommendation, if you're in the market for an Ironing Machine, is to get online and look for an Ironrite fan club site, and see if anyone's got something for sale in a reasonable radius from you. If you live in Minnesota/Wisconsin, there's a good chance you'll be able to find a working one.HOWEVER: If you can't find an Ironrite, the Miele is better than an ironing board by a couple of orders of magnitude, and would be worth giving a try if you have a lot of things you like ironed, rather than left 'permapressed' out of the dryer.

5Great Product, fast delivery!
By Julie J. Jarrett
This is a terrific machine, even better than I hoped. My husband and I like ironed clothes and sheets, and I don't mind the work that goes into having things crisp and neat. This machine has certainly cut down the time I spend doing that, and is a real pleasure to use.
