Bathtub chair

We bought this chair to replace a similar one in use for 15 years. Hoping the new one performs as well as the old one, we chose the same brand and model. So far it is performing as expected. The padding is comfortable and the construction is sturdy. It remains to be seen how long will this one last.

Does the job

Ordered this for a relative who just had major orthopedic foot surgery and could not stand up. The first thing that happened was I was sent the wrong product! I called Amazon, who were very helpful, and then called the warehouse in Georgia, who sent out the correct item quickly, and picked up the wrong one, free of charge. Assembly was fairly simple. My big issue with this is the black rubber stoppers. This is to be used as a toilet/tub bench, so it has to be moved slightly within the bathroom. The rubber stoppers are like CEMENT to the floor...we couldn't move them! Finally yanked on them, and one of the rubber stoppers broke off...making the whole thing rather unstable. Wish there was another design for the stoppers.

wish we could have gotten this without transfer bench

We needed a new bath chair for our disabled daughter. It arrived promptly and was easy to put together. Basically just putting the legs in place, we didn't put the side bar on. We wanted a seat that is cut out to make bathing easier to get wash those hard to get to places. Our last bath chair did not have a transfer bench and we could not find one without it. The chair sits in the tub and the transfer bench legs are outside the tub. The trouble for us is instead of water going into the tub, it hits the transfer bench and goes all over the floor. This wouldn't happen if your family member has a large walk in shower area but she uses a regular sized bath tub. So each day we use a beach towel rolled up and it sits on the space between the chair and transfer bench. No more water on the floor and the towel is dry for the next day drenching. We do not use it as a commode, however the pail and lid are very good quality and I will save them to use as a pail. Over all we think this is a high quality bath chair for a good price. Just dissappointed we couldn't get it with out a transfer bench.
