Better than VitaMix

I have had this blender for almost two months now and I absolutely love it. I was skeptical to purchase it at first, being that I am a VitaMix fan and the Blendtec does not have the plunger feature. I have found that a plunger for the blendtec would be completely redundant. The pre-set blend cycles on this blender make it perfect for making batter, smoothies, ice cream (really anything) without having to stop and push down the ingredients. Another great feature of this blender is the low profile. This is not a short blender by any means but it is short enough to fit under a standard countertop with the pitcher affixed to the base (the VitaMix will not fit on a countertop under a standard upper cabinet). I have also found that the square pitcher design makes for an easier (and cleaner) pour.The one downside is that in order to truly pulverize seeds (raspberry, etc.) you have to press the smoothie button twice. Truly a minor complaint. But hey for this expensive of a blender you cant afford not to be picky

This is the second Blendtec that we have bought within a year. We liked our first one so much that we bought one for our vacation condo in another state because we did not want to be without it. What we really like about the Blendtec is the preprogramed cycles. We use the blender almost every day and although we have only made smoothies, soups, and ice cream, they are wonderful! At some point we will branch out into making other things, but for now we are very satisfied with just these. We know what is in them, they are fresh, and they are healthy. I am feeling better including more energy, less stomach upset, and more enjoyment of what I am eating. Clean-up is quick and easy. We have recommend the Blendtec to our friends and family as the one appliance that has changed how we eat and how healthy we eat. Another family member that bought one reports the same results.

This is a must for people that like green smoothies. It's also handy for soups, milkshakes, etc. This is a well made, heavy duty blender that can do absolutely anything.
