Great Discount on this scale but beware

OK, so why did I give it a title like this? The scale is much cheaper than you can get from the manufacturer website but it came with a power supply plug for the China market and not the US. The advertisement states that it is for the US market but does not come with correct power supply plug. This could have just been a shipping error or just a plain error. I contacted Amazon support through CHAT and got Jose to help me. I offered to replace the plug myself for $5. I was able to do this as I am an Engineer so not everyone will be up to this task. If you want to do this yourself I can help you with the wiring. The brown wire is the load wire, the blue wire is the common wire and the green striped wire is the ground. Tested the power supply before I plugged it in and it is working fine. The scale comes with a weight for calibration, so you want to make sure to do this before you make any measurements that need the greatest accuracy. It was out of calibration by about 300mg which was easily removed by running the calibration routine. The calibration is not exactly like the manual says but it is close. You Tare the balance first, then open the door and place the 200 gram weight on the pan. The display will start blinking faster showing 200.0000 and then finally beeps and shows a steady 200.000 grams.This balance is very nice with glass enclosure and level bubble. It also has a plate on the bottom that covers the suspending hook attachment. You will have to have your own hook or make one like I did to do the suspended weight measurements. That is a great function on a precision balance for the price.Well, that is all for now. I will come back to re-rate this if I have any issues with using it.I am still giving this a 5 star rating and am very pleased that this scale will hold zero without drifting. This was a problem I had with the Adam scale, also purchased from Amazon. I will revisit again in another month if there are issues with this scale as well.
