This beautifully designed unit uses an innovative u-shaped dual burner to provide a superior and very realistic dancing flame pattern. These golden flames are surrounded by six highly detailed, hand painted ceramic logs traditionally stacked on a tiered grate; which realistically recreates the look of a mature fire. Because this unit is vent free, the heat from the fire is pushed into the living space, rather then up a chimney. This allows for an amazing 99.9-percent heating efficiency. Our 18-inch mt. Vernon log set comes with a push button ignition and is built to fit in any fireplace with minimum measurements of 28-inch front width, 15-inch depth, and 21-inch back width. Beat my expectations

Having read some negative reviews prior to purchase, I questioned the wisdom of ordering the Sure Mountain Natural Gas burner. It arrived intact, with no damage to the ceramic logs. I uninstalled my non-functioning gas logs and in less than one hour had the new unit unpacked, installed, tested for gas leaks, and operating.It does have a whistling sound when the burner is turned to the highest setting, but at that setting the amount of heat produced is more than I want. At the lowest setting it produces more heat than the previous gas logs we were using.

Good enough

I was slightly disappointed when I received it. It was much smaller than I expected. I read the descripion several times, but it just doesnt look the same as the picture, I wish I would have spent a little more and bought on with more logs. That being said, I did keep it and installed it with no problem. It works well and Iwe have grown used to it. Once we added a screen door to our fireplace, we like it much better. It does a fine job and does put out good heat. It warms out living and dinning area in about 15 minutes on a cold morning on low setting. I think that having a screen in front of it made us forget about it and just start enjoying it.

a quality product for a great price. I search the internet high and low and could not find a better deal than this. as far as working goes it does what it says. it puts out moe heat than I need. it was easy to setup and use. however there was a slight odor when I first met the logs the odor has since went away
