An Excellent Bargain!

If you are looking for a good 8000 BTU window Air conditioner this is the one to buy! It is light weight (46 lbs) and it also comes with a remote control. A word of warning do not use an heavy duty appliance extension cord with these Energy Star units because of danger of fire, and also using an heavy duty extension cord could damage your air conditioners compressor as well. make sure you read the electrical instructions in your manual concerning your plug and power outlet so that your air conditioner can operate properly. This seller when contacted is very trustworthy and will help you any way he can if you have any problem with you AC unit, his customer service is excellent! I have to say that this unit is not as noisy as other brand name air conditioners that I have purchased in the past. It doesn't mention that a remote control is included in the features about this air conditioner but I thought I'd mention it just to answer anyone's question if it did.

After reading the reviews i was somewhat skeptical about purchasing this unit. I didn't read any bad reviews about the product itself, just about the direction issue. I'm glad i purchased it. It came today and everyone was right about no directions. However, If you've put one together and installed you can do any. I'm a 49 y/o woman and just looked at the picture on the box and waaaaaaaa laaaaaaaaaa. I did have my son help as i needed his muscles. Other than that, the unit is in and running well so far. Mind you, this is only the first day i've had it so we'll see if it stands the test of time. Truly, they should have put in directions. But, again, it's pretty basic just by looking at the photo. I had it in, in about 15 minutes. :)

Great, but lost a star for bad directions and no screws

This is a great unit, but the directions that come with it are very bad. Not that it takes a rocket scientist to install it, but still, I'd like to see clearer directions. Also, it didn't come with the required screws...??? Still, though, it's a great unit.
