Just like the jeweler cleans it!

I am SO happy with this jewelry cleaner! I have a small one you can get at most retailers (that sell this sort of thing) and it did an okay job, but this steamer/cleaner goes far above the "okay" job. As everyone advised, I first watched the Youtube video to be sure I did it right; it was really quite simple. First I cleaned my wedding band, precious gemstone earrings and then moved onto my bracelets, rings and necklaces. This machine even gets very tarnished gold clean and sparkling, which my other ultrasonic cleaner didn't quite do. I have a small jewelry business and this will come in very handy shining up findings that I've had for a while.Be careful not to put soft stones like pearls, opals, emeralds, onyx, some semi-precious gemstones, or silver jewelry into the machine, as the directions state; the stones will crack and/or disintegrate. Use a delicate or silver-only cleaner on those and clean them by hand with a small brush, rinsing in cool water.This cleaner will make your gold and diamonds sparkle like you just had them cleaned at a fine jewelry store.

Some issues but seller has resolved

I used this product as directed and am very disapointed with the product performance and the seller's attitude. First, I have owned this product for 3 weeks and against Amazon policy they will not take the product back , replace it or issue a refund. Second in regards to my issues: unit steams for less than 30 seconds and then takes several minutes to reheat and create steam again. The small tank empties after each use so you will be waiting a while to clean your jewlery. The second tank does not light blue it is merely a tiny blue bulb above tank, not that this effects the performance but adds to the whole cheesey appearance and performance of the product. The seller refused to take the item back or replace the item after the initial complaints in March 2013. If you do buy this product from this seller be mindful that you will be "on your own" after you purchase.In June 2013, the water fill valve would not open or close to fill the tank and I opened a claim with the manufacturer/distributor. I will revise this review upon conclusion of this claim with the manufacturer.After 3 months I finally received the replacement back and it appears to be working as described. I feel the seller should have responded quicker and resolved the issue in April,or just refunded me for the aggravation. This is the reason for the 2 stars.
