Little Chef Diner

I was on E-Bay looking for a griddle for my gas stove and I found an old Wagner cast iron two-burner griddle that was 80 years old and bid on it and got it. At the same time, I bid on this Rocky Mountain MC-24-8 because nobody else had bid on it so I bid really low. It was too big for me, I thought, but as you would know it I won this bid too! I looked everywhere for reviews and comments on this thing and could find none so here I go...Since I don't have a commercial gas stove i tried it on my residential gas stove. Well, it fit perfectly. This griddle is well constructed, very thick metal and heavy (44 pounds) so it is not something that you just throw on and off your stove every couple of hours. I leave mine on my stove all of the time unless I need a pot of water for pasta or potatoes. This griddle is awesome! Just heat it up for about 10 minutes and cook like you are a short order cook. Ive cooked 30 burgers on it at once, made teppanyaki style Japanese food, fried rice, steaks, pork chops, sauteed green beans in butter, etc. I've cooked everthing on this bad boy. No pans to wash, easy to clean, fast and non-stick once its seasoned good (about 3 - 4 good uses and rubbed down with oil)and it makes cooking fun. During the work day, I plan what tonights "special" is going to be at my Diner. It is just really too cool for words. Words of advice, you need a good ventillation hood when using this grill. It is a must or your whole house will smoke up. Be prepared to handle the extra grease (grease tray works well but you do have to dump it) and be prepared to get warm as this cook top gets the whole kitchen toasty! It is so much worth the price This thing is too cool.
