Excellent value to satisfaction ratio. Solid build quality and one year warranty on parts and labor.Very easy to operate/no brainer touch controls or custom program your own.Purchased this because friend has one in his take out business and it serves its purpose thru out the day.Shop the restaurant equipment websites as it can be purchased at $237 and $244 delivered.WebRestaurant.com delivered mine FED-X {the best/perfect condition]3 1/2 days $244 to the door.Hope this review eases your decision.

5Simple, simple, simple to use.
By B. Marold
I joked on Facebook that this was the perfect Microwave oven for a retired information systems professional ("someone who programs for a living") since it has only one control and only one other moving part (the door). I love it. It does everything I need, with the least possible muss and fuss. Don't be put off that there is no cute little turntable inside, because the microwave source rotates inside the oven housing, rather than rotating the target. It's like the giant Radiation treatment machines which rotate around you.I got it to replace a larger box, but the external dimensions are not significantly smaller than my older machine, but just enough to make it fit in more convenient spaces.Even though it's smaller, it succeeds in heating things in less time than the larger one. Overall, I could not be happier, even if it is pricy. There is a far more fancy version of the same basic unit, with all those complicated controls. I would give some serious thought before you go for the whiz bang version. The simplicity is very refreshing... and very functional.

5Only positives!
By J. Chu
I just received my NE-1054F and I'm immediately very happy with it. The background on this purchase is that I have owned two Panasonic "inverter" microwaves and I have really liked the powerful magnetron but the push button door opening mechanisms were flawed and more significantly, they both broke after a couple of years. (See my other reviews!). I loved the inverter technology (soften cold butter without melting it anyone?) I was about to abandon the brand but I saw this model in my office pantry and was intrigued.Differences from a consumer model:Door. It has a great (yes plastic) handle instead of that square push button on consumer models which gradually got harder to push, sliding the microwave back against the wall in the process, before it broke completely on my first model.Weight. At 34lbs, it must be 3 times heavier than the old one and I assume it is due to heavier magnets and more metal in the heart of the thing.Controls. There are 10 preset buttons for 10, 20,30,45,60 seconds and more. Those preset buttons were much faster and intuitive than the keypad only method. (The presets also function as a numeric keypad). After reading the manual quickly I realized that programming the buttons isn't going to be easy but I don't think I or most people will need to go the programming route. There is a defrost power level, by the way. The only thing missing that I have noticed (other than the food i.e. "popcorn" or "entrée") buttons that I frankly find useless) is a clock. No matter, because the digital display on this model, like its consumer brethren is not very readable from acute angles (such as standing right in front of it resting in a standard kitchen cabinet). I have only heated a few things so far but it has been powerful and easy to use so far.Noise. It doesn't seem any noisier than my last consumer models.Size. It is a relatively small microwave, which is precisely what my wife wanted. If you are looking for a large microwave to put a big tray of lasagna in, for example, this might not work. It handles a normal plate very well.Aesthetics: It has a slightly professional look, which matches our pro range, and the stainless steel of other appliances. I like the look, but if you have a sleek euro style kitchen or a ornate panels on everything, it may look out of place. Then again, if you have elaborately coordinated kitchen equipment you probably won't be buying a microwave on Amazon. Lastly, this is one item I have reviewed that I didn't purchase on Amazon due to a massive pricing difference.Update 1/22/13Still loving it. Some notes: Beeps quite loudly, perhaps due to commercial nature. No +60 sec button which I like. Very powerful. seems to heat evenly, I softened butter pretty well on low power :) Small size, but it handled a rather large mixing bowl well.Update 3/23/13Still going strong. Still loving it. I really like the dedicated time buttons, i.e. 30 sec etc. Its way easier than punching time then 3, then 0 then start. The only annoying thing is the five loud beeps when its done with its program. I love the door handle. So much better than the push button, which, on a cheaper and lighter microwave, would push the whole oven back against the back wall of my counter top! As stated above, it is so heavy it doesn't move a milimeter when i grasp the handle and open it. This is quality.
