Product Description
Omega BMJ390 Mega Mouth Pulp Ejection Juicer, Chrome
The Omega BMJ390 is a continuous, pulp-ejection style juicer with one huge advantage – an extra large feed chute. The chute accommodates larger portions, even whole fruits. This means less cutting and preparation time for you and you'll get the greatest amount of juice from the least amount of produce. The powerful commercial grade motor rips through the task of juicing in half the time as most juicers. Clean-up couldn't be easier as pulp is automatically ejected into the bin in the back of the juicer. Simply dump the pulp when container is full and continue to use. Designed for commercial use, the BMJ390 has a cast metal housing with a chrome finish and features a stainless steel blade and basket, making the unit rugged and durable.

I think I got a dud...
By blouirm
Watch Video Here: /review/R3HDGXWLCDMXTA I was looking forward to using this juicer....unfortunately I think I got a dud. I've read similar reviews on the BMJ330 on both Amazon and Bed, Bath, & Beyond. The machine rattled from the get-go (SEE VIDEO). Not just a light rattle, rather an obnoxious and completely unbearable rattle. Through some diagnosing I figured out that the stainless steel pulp basket wasn't rotating true, so it was hitting the sides of the top cover. That would explain that slight smell of burning plastic.....Strike 1.Minus the terrible rattle....it worked pretty well. The juicing was super-fast! I loved the huge 3" opening.....I don't think I had to cut up anything I put in it. Unfortunately the juicer leaked. After a few minutes of juicing I'd get streaks running down the side of the machine. Strike 2.Maybe the first two were a cause of user error? Possibly assembled wrong? As an engineer I'm pretty good with putting things together, so I highly doubt that's the case, but who knows? So I decided to give it another shot this morning. Had my plate of greens out and ready to juice. I had put in some kale, a granny smith apple, baby spinach, half a cucumber, and things were going well. It was rattling again so I had to hold the top cover down firmly. It also started leaking almost immediately. Oh well...I put in some celery and hit Strike 3. The machine completely stopped. The motor wasn't overloaded as I was loading things at a nice, slow pace. It just cut off. Don't know if it blew a fuse or what....but I said screw it! Cleaned it and packed it back up. Returned it this afternoon.I'm hoping I just received a dud. Some fluke of quality control. Unfortunately there are very few reviews of the BMJ390 online. In fact, I've only found the other review here on Amazon. Half of the reviews on the BMJ330, though, describe similar problems to my own.Despite the quality issues, I liked the overall build of the Omega, as well as the 10-year warranty. I purchased an Omega VRT350HD and it will be here Tuesday. I'll try to update with a comparison when it arrives.

Works great ... when it decides to work....
By Kathie M
Purchased this Omega BM390 Mega Mouth Juicer with some trepidation based on the reviews posted on Amazon.comThe juicer works great when it works.Let me start with the pros:- The wide open mouth chute makes it easy to juice; just toss in veggies and fruits without chopping or cutting- The clean up is extremely easy; didn't take more than 3 minutes- Looks great on my counter topHere come the cons:- Unit will not stay on once the power button is flipped unless you hold down the safety latch- Because the you're holding the safety latch down the strainer basket is not center and is cutting into the inner plastic portion of the cover (this may have caused the plastic burning smell some reviewers have noted)I contacted Omega customer service and informed them of the issues. They acknowledged the issues; have repaired the issues in the BM390 and are sending out a new replacement and picking up the defective one.As a side note.... I did order this model from Amazon.com - the base housing that came was plastic coated in aluminum. The Omega technician told me it shouldn't be chrome covered plastic but aluminum plate. Will be interested to see what the replacement looks like.Overall I would recommend this model to people looking to start juicing. Just make sure you get a model that has been fixed of the kinks.

The best!
By Kirk Stanton
I used a Breville and this juicer side by side and this juicer got a lot more juice from the same about of carrots. Plus it is quieter than the Breville elite, $50 less and has a 10 year warrantee! You had to push harder to put the food into the tube with the Breville, this one grabs the food by itself and sometimes you have to put a little, but not much. This one is a keeper for life!
