A great entry into charcuterie

I originally was using the stuffer attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer and since I'm a one man operation (wife wife thinks its icky and won't help), I got into a lot of trouble, mostly because the feed tube is about a foot and a half off the counter. The LEM stuffer sits at counter level so it's great for one person to use. The kit also sets you up REALLY well with sausage making supplies with plenty of casings and spice mixes.The only drawback I can see is that it might be difficult to clean the part of the stuffer that pushes the forcemeat down, but i wipe it down really well and finish with a weak bleach solution. I'm still alive so it must be working :)

Rock solid and easy to clean

I bought this kit after I tried making sausage with my Kitchen Aid Mixer with the sausage attachment. I swore I would never try to make sausage again. It was WAY too much work and took two people to operate the thing. I knew there had to be an easier way. This is the easier way. This cranks out sausage effortlessly and it is so easy to clean. The kit contains so much stuff beyond the stuffer and has everything you need to get started except the meat. It is rock solid and has all metal gears. It comes completely apart for cleaning. The hopper slides out and the plunger spins off the main screw for easy cleaning. I love it!. I still use my Kitchen Aid Mixer to grind the meat but this is what I use to stuff the sausage.

I would recommend this product. Very good quality and easy to use. I liked the fact that it's stainless steel and also that the gear is steel and not plastic
