3Nice dryer but use with caution
By Andy
We bought one of these dryers in late 2011, and loved it: looks and works great. Then we moved in 2013, and after installing the dryer in the new house, the lint inside the dryer housing ignited. Some of the lint must have shifted during the move, moving closer to the gas heater source. Luckily, the fire didn't cause major damage. I did some research online, and came across a class-action suite, "[...]", which seems to indicate that this was not just an isolated incident. You need to take the back of the dryer off in order to see the lint buildup inside the dryer housing (around the drum motor, heater source, etc), and vacuum up as much lint as possible. My wife is meticulous about cleaning the lint trap with every load, so there may be a design issue involved letting the lint migrate inside the housing. We will keep using it, but will check the lint build-up often to make sure it is safe.
