4Good wine cooler
By Rick Powell
This wine cellar chills wine very well, has a great look, and is fairly quiet. The only drawback I have found is that the bottom four bottles sit on the floor if the unit, and there is no rack to keep them from rolling around.

4Good for the price

Other reviews have commented on the noise and gone back and forth. I have to agree with those who say it's loud, so put it somewhere it won't bother you. That said, it's an attractive fridge that was inexpensive. Fit the bill for what we were looking for, and we have another wine cellar for bottles that are more expensive / won't fit because they are the "Burgundy" style of bottle rather than smaller Bordeaux style.

4Great price for the capacity
By C. Jackson
There are both pros and cons for this device. First, it is very light. That can be both a pro and a con. It's a pro in that it's easy to move around but it's also a con because it betrays that it's thin, probably not very well insulated, and not made out of the highest quality components. It is a simple enough design: one can see a small, plastic fan not unlike the kind in computer towers (probably easily replaceable) in front of a thermoelectric heat exchange grille. The heat exchange emits a constant, low hum doing whatever it is that it does (it's honestly about the same timbre and amplitude as the air pump on a fish tank), and occasionally the fan will kick on if the thermostat registers that it is in need of a little extra boost to maintain the temperature. Other than that, it's a black box with a glowing blue number on it.The design is very attractive, the window is a high gloss (picks up fingerprints if you put your hand NEAR the glass it seems), and the shape is roughly cubic. The racks are thin metal but do not seem to visibly sag even when fully encumbered. I experienced none of some of the complaints about bottles not fitting on the racks; I find it to be efficiently sized and seems to take Burgundy and California Cabernet bottles equally well. The tallest bottles I had, some full sized sherry bottles, threatened to not fit, but in the end was not a real concern. I added some pre-cooled bottles almost to capacity and the temperature changed rapidly and has stayed quite consistent ever since I plugged it in.Perhaps the biggest overall concern I have with the design is that the fan is not separated by much clearance from the backs of the bottles, which might be a liability when the machine has to work extra-hard to maintain temperature; if the exchange holes in the back are blocked, I could see it overheating really easily. In my case I've just added some thin half bottles in the middle two slots on the top two shelves and piled the heavier, thicker bottles around the edges. One could probably also face those four bottles neck-in to allow for more air circulation anyway. Regardless it may be worth it, if one plans on keeping it fully loaded, to alternate neck-in and neck-out to allow for easier air circulation around the bottles. I wouldn't consider this so much a design flaw so much as just prudent utilization of a design optimized for high capacity/low volume. The only major complaint I might be tempted to make is the inadequate lighting. There is a light feature, which is nice, but it is just 4 small blue-white LEDs at the top of the unit. If the unit is full, you can't see the contents very well with the light unless it is very dark in the room. All in all though it is a remarkable deal. There's not a terrible lot that can go wrong inside this thing because there isn't much inside this thing. We'll see how it stands up in the North Carolina summer, but so far I don't have any major complaints!
