Our best microwave ever!
By Cashewfeni
It is the best microwave ever of all those we have owned. The controls are very intuitive to use. For example, in most microwave ovens, if you want to heat something for 2 mins, you would press "2 then 0 then 0 then start". Here, you just press 2. If you want to heat your coffee or milk, just hit "beverage" and the oven uses a sensor to figure when the beverage is just the right temperature for drinking. No need to account for the fact that maybe you are starting with super cold milk or a coffee that just cooled to room temperature. We have had it for about a month now. It is rather quiet (not too quiet but as quiet as or quieter than anything we have owned before). We don't get excited over microwaves and aren't about this one but this looks like a well thought out, nicely performing, user friendly oven.

Stops working if it has run for 13 minutes on high....
By S. B. Smith
This is why I can't rate this 5 stars. We've had our model one year.Months ago I bought a frozen dinner that had instructions: 13 minutes on high.It cooked the food without any problems, but when I put something else in the microwave after that, it seemed like all was well. The turntable turned and it sounded like usual...but it did Not heat/cook the food.So I unplugged it till the next day - plugged it back in - and it was working fine until tonight when I put that same frozen dinner in it and ran it that long again. It cooked the dinner correctly but after that I only was trying to pop popcorn, and nothing. It came on and turned inside but the magnetron, again, wasn't working. I unplugged it again and waited over 30 minutes.Plugged it back in, and after 2 tries it started working and the popcorn popped. The frozen dinner was Stouffer's Stuffed Peppers that requires 13 minutes straight, on high.I am hoping this is just a safety feature that doesn't allow the magnetron to run again until it has cooled a certain amount. That didn't happen with previous microwaves we've had.I'll be calling GE Monday.
