For this first time in 17 years I can keep food frozen in the summer much better then a cooler. So nice to have the option of battery or power.In the winter we plan to use it as a fridge.

so far, after a week it is great

we bought this because our old sailboat limited us in what would fit through the cabin door width. the fast freeze froze a glass of water solid in less than an hour. still trying to tweak the temperature setting to have part function as fridge, part freezer. like it so much we may just purchase a second one to devote to fridge only- just want to see how it performs on the 12 volt DC capacity before buying a second one as we hope to leave shore power soon!
