2No medium heat!
By Debra G.
I read the manual while waiting for hook-up and called Alliance Laundry (makers of Speed Queen). This model has only high, low and no heat options. NO MEDIUM heat. The saleswoman told me the permanent press/knit setting was medium heat, but it is not. It leaves more moisture in the clothes and has a longer cool down time to prevent wrinkles but dries on high heat. Why can't they make a dryer with low, medium and high heats? Oh wait, the next model up has that, but it costs more money. Buyer beware.

5Quality Dryer
By Dave
I just wrote a 5-star review about my new SpeedQueen AWN432 washer and my new ADG3LR dryer receives the same rating. The machine does what a dryer should and while I liked the idea of an electronic control panel, the knobs and switches used on this machine are very high quality. They feel durable and there is distinct feedback from the knobs for very small rotations. The number of big-box store brand reviews that I read which stated something similar to "the machine does everything well except for drying clothes" was ridiculous. Like the SpeedQueen washer, it is downright difficult to find a negative review for this dryer (I don't think I've seen one). This dryer drys clothes with an impressive speed. Gone are the days where my washer would finish before my dryer... and the washer itself is quick!

5Great Dryer
By Win231
I actually have the Model ADG3RG which lacks the middle knob & has one less feature. I couldn't find that exact model here. I purchased the dryer (along with the Speed Queen washer) at "Waadt Appliances." The warranties on Speed Queen products are much longer than other brands & their products are commercial-quality washers & dryers found in laundromats & apartment complexes. Washing & drying clothes should be simple & computerized lights & features are not needed and (in my experience), they are a source of expensive service calls when they fail. I first shopped at Sears & the salesperson told me what I already suspected - that I would be lucky to get three to five years out of a typical brand-name washer & dryer, such as Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, GE, etc. (Yes, the Maytag man is not so lonely anymore). My previous Kenmore lasted more than 20 years but those days are long gone. After doing some research, I've found that Speed Queen products have an average life of 22 years. After several loads, I can say that this dryer works very well. I love the way the door opens completely so it is totally out of the way when loading & unloading the dryer - as if there is no door at all. The door is also reversible if you prefer to open it from the other side. There is one feature that concerned me when I checked out the store display model. This is the only dryer I've ever seen that has a non-removeable lint screen. To clean it, you simply scrape the lint off with a brush, rag, or your hand. The lint screen seemed small, compared to the longer pull-out types I'm accustomed to, but it did the job, and you have to clean the lint screen after each load on any dryer.
