Super!

I purchased this dryer in Oxide color along with the Performance 950 washer. It has lots of options (love the steam option for pillows!). It does make a bit of a minor constant hum/whine noise. It's soooo much quieter than my old machine so I can't complain. I stacked my set (must order with dryer). They are solid and stable, but the dryer is pretty high up -- the controls are at about eye level for me and I'm 5'10".I've had these for 6 months now and I am so pleased with them. I almost love doing laundry these days. The washer uses so little soap, and the dryer doesn't need sheets. My water and power bills have gone down.I would never again recommend AJ Madison for an online purchase. I've had some real problems with their delivery company AM Trucking regarding another appliance, and I can't get any answers from either the shipper or AJ Madison.

This dryer is FRYING MY CLOTHES!!! Sensor not working!

The drying sensor has not worked on this machine from day one. My housekeeper has been doing the laundry, and I found out she was pulling the clothing out before the cycle alarm, constantly checking the clothing to see if they were dry. She knew the drying element was not working right, but she and I didn't really have a conversation about it until the warranty ran out. I called Maytag 2 weeks after the warranty ran out, and they said it was out of warranty - too bad. I'm so pissed. No more Maytag products for me.

Bad internet experience

I saved about $300 by purchasing from ABT through Amazon vs. buying at the local appliance store. The problem is I specifically asked for a dryer that would work with propane and they sent one for natural gas. When I called ABT abou it they said I would need to call my local gas company and get them to convert it for me. What a pain. Now the gas company says I need to buy a conversion kit and I don't know what that is going to cost???? In the end I probably won't end up saving anything. Should have just spent the extra money and bought it locally then I could walk up to the store and they would have taken care of everything!
