Give it a try

I debated this and what I thought was a similar product and was only unsure because of the unknown brand. I'm glad we went with this. We got some more features ( follow me remote thermostat, timer for start up And shut off) and more BTUs for less money as well as a full year extra of warranty. It has arrived and is everything it said, seems real sturdy and I easy to use. It isn't silent but its quiet enough if it is across the room from you and has the cooling power to work from quite the distance. The only drawback so far is that the buttons beep loudly when pressed but that is pretty common. I'll update again when we've used it more and I love it.Update: summer has been in full swing for awhile now and we've had no issues. This is fast and effective and we love it.

fast shipping/great product

We, like most of the northwest just got hit with a heat wave. All a/c units and even fans were sold out in the area. I checked craigslist and found some a/c units available but the age and avail of them was a problem. I decided to get this unit through amazon. I have amazon prime so shipping was free in one to two days. shipping for none amazon prime accounts put the other units at about the same price as I paid, but would take 5-7 business days plus processing (1-2 days). This unit was shipped the next day and got to us 2 days later. fast shipping. We have over 900 square feet in our apartment and this product works great. It is powerful, efficient, and easy to install. I am very glad I bought this unit through amazon as opposed to craigslist or walmart. It got here fast, works great and has a two year limited warranty. If you use amazon a lot, i recommend amazon prime. the a/c unit has a remote control and multiple fan speeds, high is very powerful. When the unit is on cool, it gets very cool. you can also set the temp. By the way the follow me feature listed on amazon confused me. It means, once you point the remote at the unit and press the follow me button, it sinks the remote to the unit and registers the temp of the room the remote is in. the remote is digital displaying the temp set as well as different modes. This unit was worth it and cools the main area of our apartment perfectly.

At such a low price, I figured there had to be some drawback to this unit. But as far as I can tell, it is quite comparable to other 10K BTU AC units on the market. Not particularly noisy, full range of settings (if you're into that kind of thing), cools the place down--what more could you ask for?* I use this unit to cool about 700 square feet.
