Excellent!

Purchased this vacuum about four weeks ago. I have a Kirby as well. With two dogs and three cats, I vacuum daily. I have everything from wall to wall, wool area rugs, synthetic area rugs, hardwood floors and upholstery to keep up with. Love the Kirby, but it can be a bit unwieldy especially as an every day appliance. Decided to give this vacuum a try. It has become my primary vacuum very quickly. The powered floor and upholstery brushes make picking everything up very simple. It is easy to tote around up and down stairs, and the on board tools are easily accessible. It cleans everything very well, easily moving between the different surfaces. The only complaint I have is that the bags are somewhat small, and I find myself replacing the bag at a frequency of at least one bag per week.

Brand NEW and the Power-head DOES NOT WORK

Have just had three separate phone calls with a Miele Tech Rep, he was helpful, however, his bosses said I should take the unit in to a service center.I live in rural country and the nearest service center is not reputable.I believe Miele should have offered delivery of a new power-head and pick-up of the non-functioning SEB228 power-head.BRAND NEW $990.00 and it needs service work??Would NOT recommend.

My first Miele lasted for 13 years and it was the best vac I have ever owned or used. It probably would have lasted another 13 years had one of my children (who remains silent) had not sucked up about a gallon of water in it.... I dumped out all the water, put it outside in the sun for a couple of days and would you believe the vac worked for another 3 months. I love my new one and it was well worth the upgrade to the "cat & dog" series. However, it is very powerful and probably would be too much to handle for someone who is elderly and frail. All in all this vac is OUTSTANDING!!!
