Product Description
Effortlessly remove excess moisture from the air with this energy-efficient portable dehumidifier. Great for damp basements or any musty room of the house, the unit not only helps allergy sufferers breathe easier, it also helps prevent problems often caused by excess humidity--peeling paint, damaged wood, and mold growth. Durable rolling casters make it easy to move the lightweight dehumidifier from room to room, wherever it's needed most.
The dehumidifier quietly removes up to 70 pints of water from the air every 24 hours. When the water bucket has filled to capacity, the unit will automatically shut off and the "bucket full" indicator will light up. Water can be automatically emptied by attaching a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port on the side of the dehumidifier. This will allow the unit to run continuously without having to empty the water bucket. The dehumidifier also provides a push-button electronic control panel for selecting one of three fan speeds, increasing or decreasing the room-humidity level, or setting the two- to four-hour timer, which turns the unit off automatically after the after the elapsed time.
Other highlights include an "on" indicator light, an automatic defrost function, low-temperature operation down to 40 degrees F, loss of power protection with auto restart, and a permanent washable filter. Works great in my basement

My basement runs about 80% humidity all year round and stays about a constant 62 as well.I have had this unit running for a month and it has done everything I have asked of it.The basement is 1200 square foot and this dehumidifier has lowered the humidity to 55% which is where I have it set.I have it hosed to a drain and it is fairly loud on the high setting.The only negative I would note is the bucket seems a little flimsy if you are opting not to hose it to a drain.Actually it is the handle of the bucket that is suspect.Overall very happy with this product.

Got this unit for a great price from stacks and stacks! Great delivery time, well packaged for shipping. Unit works great so far, noise is not too bad, but it is a 70 pint, going to be louder than smaller units, as expected. I am running this in my utility room of an otherwise finished basement, so I am usually not in the same room with it trying to watch TV or listen to music.I always seem to over-research things like this before buying, glad I did this time, perfectly happy with this unit and would definitely recommend the product and the seller!

To start, overall I am happy with this purchase.Now for some clarifications and critiques.- It is a 70 pint per day. That is 8.75 Gallons/day. The bucket is at most 3 gallons, probably closer to 2 gallons.- It is only capable of doing 70 pints/day if the conditions are correct, i.e. temperature is ~68°F.- It doesn't say anywhere how big of a room it can really manage.- The humidity readout is in 5% increments.Details about my basement:- It is unheated and therefore close to 60°F- It is ~1600 square feet.Performance after 1 month:- When I turned it on, it read that we had an 80% humidity. After running 24/7 (drain hose hooked up) for a month we are now at 60% humidity. It has not shut off yet(we have it set to shut off at 50%).
