First one creaks and does not return to zero, plus bad packaging. New one works great!

Scale was not properly packaged by seller. The scale was only sent in its original packing, which appeared to be quite old or weakened by moisture, and was not in a secondary shipping box. The original packaging box was flimsy and clearly damaged when it arrived (caved in/collapsed in areas). There was lots of tape holding the box together which provided some integrity to the structure but this made the box hard to open. Internal padding and part of the box disintegrated upon opening. The face of the dial was dislodged in shipping and i had to clean it and reattach it (snaps in place). Scale creaks when I step on it which makes me wonder if it was damaged in transit. I zeroed the scale prior to standing on scale and read my weight. When stood off scale it did not return to zero. I did this multiple times without the gauge returning to zero and was sometimes high and sometimes low. The fluctuation in my wight was 5 lbs. Found that pressing the scale surface up and down with my hand helped the gauge return closer to zero and gave a more consistent weight each time, but I do not have confidence that this scale is giving an accurate weight, which is not what I paid good money for. Further, this scale was previously returned on February 17th for not being accurate and then was resold to me as if it was BRAND NEW without any indication that it had previously been returned! I am contacting the seller to deal with this issue.**UPDATE**Seller mailed me a BRAND NEW SCALE and the packaging was undamaged, scale undamaged, etc. Scale works perfectly. The weight is both accurate AND precise. Same weight no matter how often you get on and off. Always returns to zero with only needing slight adjustment. Very pleased to have a functioning scale after my previous ordeal = )

Very nice scale. Appears to be well made and is good looking. Once set to zero it rarely has to be re-adjusted like those cheap scales that read differently every time you get on them. The numbers might be a bit on the small side, but maybe that's because I'm a bit on the old side. Too bad it does not have a way for you to mark the bezel with a starting weight and goal. Overall, this is a nice quality product and well worth the few extra dollars.
