DO NOT BUY

This is a FALSELY advertised item. Just like GE doesn't have to pay taxes, they think they can state "stainless steel" when the kit's cover is in fact made out of the cheapest plastic GE could find. Unless the previous kit, which was made from polished aluminum metal, this one is poorly made. What's more important, the kit is 3/4" lower than the previous, so if you are looking to replace anything, you may have to redo the cabinet window opening. If you don't mind staring at a fake blob of plastic that will for sure scratch in a day or two, go ahead. Otherwise, stay away and find another microwave with a better kit to install. Preferably of another brand.

This product is great. Pay attention to which version you need as there are two or three types. This product looks and fits as it should, GREAT!

Great all-metal trim kit

I'm not sure what the other review was saying when they said this Trim Kit was plastic... mine was 100% stamped stainless steel. In fact there wasn't a single component that was plastic in the kit. It looks good and fits the microwave well. 4 stars because of the high price.
